Sunday, November 13, 2014 – 1 year & 14 days after Leukemia diagnosis – Pre-Transplant
Last night Loverman and I went out and partied like it was 2013… you know, before cancer. I was worried about him drinking because the most he has been able to tolerate since he started his TKI chemo is one beer and the last time he had one beer was in the summer. I think that was on our wedding day and he didn’t tolerate that well. Last night he was determined to go out, enjoy a night with some of our special ones and tie one on! We planned it for a couple of weeks. It’s was his list of “things I want to do before I go for my bone marrow transplant”. Well, he pulled it off, surprised us all and made it all the way to last call!
This morning I woke him up to eat and take his chemo and asked him if he was getting out of bed. He laughed and said, “No, just bring me a banana and some water.” Then he asked me how we got home last night. LOL He’s going to pay for his night of drinking, but it was awesome and it was worth it. Hiya! Take THAT cancer! Now I need a nappy.
