On November 28th, 2014, my oldest son swabbed at a local swabbing / blood donor clinic event in honour of Mackenzie Curran celebrating her first REbirthday after her stem cell transplant last November. My youngest son was away at university at the time, but I got him to register for his swabbing kit online so he could do it over the Christmas holidays.

I am trying to document and blog about all of the different ways you can register to be a stem cell / bone marrow donor and I’m not going to lie, I wanted to see what they sent via mail after online registration! I’m a nosy nelly when it comes to that stuff. I have also had people tell me that they thought it cost money to register to be a stem cell donor. Another MYTH bites the dust! They even send you a pre-paid envelope to send the kit back.

Stay tuned for our video blog about how super simple and easy registering to donate stem cells really is. It will be posted as soon as I figure out how to do some video editing.  😉

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to take the BLOODY AWESOME CHALLENGE and enter our GIVEAWAY!!!
